The mission of SS Quarter horses is to produce quality quarter horses that are bred for their trainability, and their athleticism to perform .

Hi, my name is Shelagh Stadel. I am the owner/operator of SS Quarter Horses. Reining is my passion, but I also enjoy and compete in team penning, working cow horse, cutting and various other events.  I have tailored my breeding program to include top bloodlines that have excelled in both cutting and reining. Thus giving my foals some versatility and hopefully an increased chance at future success.

I believe there are two key components when breeding for top performance horses. First, you need to select a great stallion to breed to. The second key component is your mare. I have carefully selected a few top quality mares that have been chosen for their pedigree, good conformation, and sound minds. My mares carry the bloodlines of Shining Spark, Hollywood Dun It, Hollywood Jac 86, Jacs Electric Spark, CFR Centenario Wimpy to just name a few. These mares produce on average between 2-4 foals a year. These bloodlines have been proven to perform.
